New words needed
In order to get public opinion involved and to change the perception that especially moderate people have of the migration issue, OIM asked us to work with them on some videos.
The goal was to spread the positive aspects connected to migrations (notably the connection between migration, integration and development) using an original language and an innovative approach.
Videos
The videos we made arise from the idea that the language we own is inadequate to express the migration phenomenon. We decided, then, to come up with some neologisms that could explain it: words that are anagrams of the names of those migrants whose stories inspired us. Each video tells a different positive aspect of migrations and suggests a neologism about that.
Because, in order to fully understand migration, we need new words.
